Rui joined PARES at its foundation in 2011 and was appointed coordinator of the real estate department in 2022, becoming a partner in 2024.
Throughout his professional journey, he initially provided advisory services to public and private entities on matters related to environmental and energy law, as well as real estate, urban planning, and land use. In addition to real estate law, he has significant experience in corporate and financial law, particularly in structuring financing for real estate projects and/or acquisitions. He has also advised investment fund management companies, private equity firms, and individual clients on their ongoing matters, including the preparation, negotiation, and execution of real estate contracts.
In his daily collaboration with investment fund management companies and real estate firms, he has provided advisory services on the sale/acquisition of real estate portfolios, as well as on structuring real estate developments, including off-plan projects.
