International investor acquires Portuguese dairy company

A Portuguese dairy producer, specialising in high-quality milk production, has been acquired by an international investor in a transaction with significant impact on the Portuguese agribusiness sector. Previously owned by a Dutch family business, the company plans to expand its operations, including increasing its cattle stock for both milk production and beef sales.

PARES advised on the transaction, led by partner António Juzarte Rolo, with support from Francisco Pinto da Silva and Teresa Catapirra. The deal highlights Portugal’s growing prominence in the global agribusiness market.
